Objective: To analyze the impact of Cycle Clarity—an AI-enabled ultrasound platform—on monitoring efficiency, ovarian stimulation confidence, and overall patient satisfaction.
Background: Ultrasound monitoring remains a foundational element in assisted reproductive technology (ART), yet the conventional process is often time-consuming, uncomfortable, and subject to both measurement variability leading to variability in trigger / retrieval timing.
Materials and Methods: An observational study involving 40 fertility patients analyzing the Cycle Clarity automates follicular volume assessments compared with traditional manual measurement. 40 Patients at Coastal Fertility Specialists underwent traditional, manual transvaginal ultrasound follicular measurements during monitoring of ovarian stimulations for ART. During their second monitoring visit they were monitored only with Cycle Clarity. A patient survey was completed prior to and after each ultrasound along with a timing of ultrasound study lengths
Result(s): 40 patients underwent 80 monitoring ultrasounds. The patient probe contact time using Cycle Clarity decreased 66% from 118 seconds to 40 seconds. 78% of patients indicated that traditional ultrasound monitoring felt burdensome and time-consuming. 94% believed Cycle Clarity would provide more accurate follicular measurements compared to manual methods. 100% reported feeling reassured knowing their physician could review the entirety of the ovarian scans in real time; yielding a better global assessment. 100% said they would refer others to a clinic using Cycle Clarity, indicating strong patient trust and advocacy.
Conclusion(s): Among the 40 patients surveyed, Cycle Clarity demonstrated strong potential to elevate the fertility monitoring experience. Patients reported reduced procedural discomfort, increased confidence in scan accuracy, and improved transparency in care delivery.
Impact Statement: These findings support the adoption of AI-assisted ultrasound to enhance both clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction in reproductive medicine.
